African soft-furred rats (ASFs) are an excellent feeder option for snakes and other carnivorous pets, especially for picky eaters that prefer a more natural prey item. Native to Africa, these rodents closely mimic the wild diet of many ball pythons, making them a preferred choice for stubborn feeders. ASFs are high in protein, lower in fat than standard feeder rats, and offer a nutritionally balanced meal. Available in various sizes, they accommodate snakes at different growth stages. Whether live or frozen, African soft-furred rats are a great option for keeping your reptiles healthy and thriving.

All live feeders are inspected for health and condition before leaving our facility. Once live feeders have been picked up, we cannot guarantee their health, longevity, or survival. Small animals such as rats are highly sensitive to stress, environment, and care conditions, and it is not uncommon for losses to occur unexpectedly.

By purchasing live feeders, you acknowledge and accept the following:

• We are not responsible for the health or survival of live rats once they leave our facility.
• No refunds or returns will be issued for live feeders after pickup.
• Replacement may be offered at our discretion in rare cases, but is not guaranteed.
• It is the buyer’s responsibility to provide appropriate housing, food, water, and care to maintain the health of purchased animals.

We work closely with trusted breeders to ensure healthy, parasite-free feeders. While occasional losses are a natural part of working with live feeders, you can rest assured that our stock is sourced and maintained responsibly.
